Waterproof Cyclone from TabuToys.com
A few weeks ago I got a new vibrator from Tabu Toys. Califonia Exotic Novelties has a new line of Waterproof sex toys, the Couture Collection. Tabu Toys carries just three of these toys but the whole line is 21 toys that run the range of shapes that include standard, g-spot, rabbit style and even the kegel exercisers.
The Good: It’s made of nice Japanese-grade silicon. I don’t know what the difference between the Japanese grade or any other grade is, but it’s smooth to the touch. Even smoother with some lube. It has a decent vibration, although I would not say that it’s quite stong enough for me to use alone for clitoral stimulation. This isn’t to say that it’s weak, just that it isn’t exactly strong enough for me.
It has two buttons, one that turns it on and off and the other that moves it through the 7 different vibrating patterns. It’s flexible so while it curves for g-spot penetration, you can really thrust it hard without feeling like you’re being violated [in the bad way].
The Bad: The battery door is hard to get off. When I say hard, I mean, damn near impossible. It’s waterproof, but it doesn’t have the rubber ring that is usually used to keep water out- so it’s just on really right and snug. I started out doing the usual, pushing down on the arrow but it wouldn’t budge. I gave it to my husband, he couldn’t do it either. I tried prying it, with a screwdriver, a butter knife. I am not one to give up so I even wacked it against the corner of my coffee table. Nothing. Defeated I sent an email to TabuToys telling them that perhaps it was defective and glued shut. I got an prompt email back telling me that no, it isn’t defective, but it is ‘tricky’ to take the battery door cover off. She offered me another solution, and while that didn’t work perfectly, I found one that did. You have to hold the vibe upside down between your palms, press down on the door and push upwards. This works for me every time, and while now it comes off just as fast as anything else- if you didn’t KNOW this… I think many people would return it, thinking that it was glued shut. It’s a design error, in my opinion.
If the manufacturers don’t change that door, they should at least include directions in the instructions. As it is, the box currently says “Easy Open Battery Compartment” Which is clearly not the case.
The vibe is good though. It’s flexible and long enough to do a lot of good hard thrusting. The material is nice, it’s waterproof, and its esthetically pleasing. Just that battery door is really a pain. Lets hope that CEN does some design fixes because I would otherwise be interested in trying more from this line.

Where’s the videos of the testing?
I had the same problem with another vibe from this line. My boyfriend had the magic touch and could open it, but I couldn’t. Not for the life of me.
