stolen stuff

I got an email from Jaded last night telling me that someone has been stealing some of my blog posts as well as others. I don’t want to link it here cause I don’t think it deserves any of my traffic. The blog gives, after removing any links from the post on the main page, “credit” by linking “Originally from Source” Either way- it’s annoying because of the way it’s done. The blog is called Anal Porno Blog and you know, this person is bold enough to use my HNT pictures- along side of the “anal porno” pictures.

Nawty was also hit as well as others. If you want to see the blog and see if any of your stuff was taking, the links are there.

Thanks to Jaded Angel for having my back. I know there isn’t much can really be done other than leave nasty comments, but just know that I am NOT affiliated in anyway with this blog.

My stuff has a Creative Commons copyright which means it can be copied as long as credit is given, meaning they link my page. AND it needs to be mentioned that it is copyrighted work, which is basically a link to the Creative Commons licensing page, showing that they are using licensed work. That wasn’t done here.

As a college student, I know that I need to give credit where it’s due. That is all I ask. “Source” I don’t believe is a good enough credit even if it does link back to me.

I can’t put too much time or energy into this- but I wanted to make it known.

Aurgh! I’m so pissed on the behalf of you and Nawty. Just pissed.

I know. It’s kinda weird cause it sort of breaks that unwritten common courtesy that I think bloggers share.

As someone who recently had her work plagiarized, I most certainly relate to your anger and astonishment.

Thank you for making the fraudulent behavior public so others may catch any theft of their work as well.

It’s a complete mystery of why copy all of those posts for no discernible purpose.

The posts of mine that were copied are a sequential series from my archives. They include some Sugasm posts with the links stripped out, which pretty much voids the posts of any utility.

I appreciate Jaded’s taking initiative in alerting you, after my exasperated email to her. She’s a precious gem.

    Blessings,
    Nawty

Seems your stealer has gone dark. Tried to visit the site to add a comment and all I got was a Fedora test page.

  • all of the above and then some.

    That sucks shit!
    Thanks for the info.

I had my identity stolen, so I have enough of my shit stolen.

Yes I suspect this is NOTHING like having your identity stolen. It just twists me a bit.

I’ve offered this advice to Nawty, and I’ll pass it on to you and Jaded (via here) too – I suggest you email alex at alexsuze.com – he was a huge help to me when a similar thing happened to me a year or two ago, and with his advice I was able to nip it in the bud. If he can’t help you with some good advice, he’ll certainly be able to point you in the direction of someone who will, I’m sure.

Content theft happens to everyone. This blogger can help. Her blog has tons of advice not only about WordPress, but about blogging in general.
